Case study · Full-mouth rehab
P.N. was referred to us by her son after living with seven failing silver fillings and a bite that hurt every morning. The plan was deliberately staged — eight months, eleven visits, no shortcuts — so we never had her chair-time exceed two hours in any single appointment.
Visit 1 · Month 0
Full digital X-rays, CBCT, periodontal exam, bite force analysis (T-scan). Photo documentation of every tooth. Sit-down case presentation with itemized estimate.
Visit 2-3 · Month 0-1
Scaling and root planing (all four quadrants, 2 weeks apart). Re-evaluation at 6 weeks showed pockets reduced from 5-6mm down to 3-4mm.
Visit 4-5 · Month 2-3
Safe-removal (SMART protocol) of upper four amalgams, replaced with bonded composite. Rubber dam, high-volume suction, supplemental oxygen, vitamin C rinse before-and-after. Two visits to keep chair time short.
Visit 6-7 · Month 4-5
Endodontic treatment of #19 and #30 (cracked lower molars). Same-day CEREC zirconia crowns following each root canal. Bite verified post-op.
Visit 8-9 · Month 5-6
Removal of lower three amalgams with the same SMART protocol. Composite restorations placed.
Visit 10 · Month 7
Lab-fabricated upper hard occlusal splint to protect new restorations from bruxism. Worn nightly. Re-checked at 30 days.
Visit 11 · Month 8
In-office Zoom whitening on remaining natural enamel. Take-home tray for maintenance.
Eight months of staged treatment, seven amalgams replaced, two same-day crowns, full periodontal stabilization, custom occlusal splint, and Zoom whitening. Total out-of-pocket cost was $11,200 after insurance. One-year follow-up shows stable periodontal numbers (3-4mm pockets), all restorations intact, the splint still in nightly use. P.N. has been pain-free in the mornings since month 5.
I'd lived with that morning pain for fifteen years and assumed it was just aging. Dr. Patel and her team mapped out an eight-month plan with the cost on day one and never deviated. I've recommended the office to four friends, including my son who'd been putting off dental work for years.
The visit experience
We surveyed 600 patients on what makes dental visits stressful and designed the office around fixing each one. No fluorescent lights. No clipboards in the waiting room. No surprise charges at checkout. Just a calm, transparent visit.
Nitrous oxide on request
Laughing gas at no extra cost during cleanings, fillings, or any longer procedure. Wears off in five minutes — you can drive home.
Noise-cancel headphones
Bose QC over-ear headphones at every chair. Bring your phone or stream from our library. The drill becomes a distant hum.
Netflix on the ceiling
Every chair has a ceiling-mounted screen with Netflix, YouTube, and HBO. Patient picks the show. Time goes faster.
Kid play corner
Toys, books, and a small slide so kids stay calm before their visit — and so parents can have their own cleaning without juggling.
