How often should I come in?
Most patients every 6 months. Patients with active gum disease or recent restorations may benefit from 3-month maintenance cleanings. We tell you which, not the other way around.Do you use mercury (amalgam) fillings?
No. We've used composite (tooth-colored) fillings exclusively since 2012. Existing amalgams don't need to be replaced unless they're failing. What if my cleaning hurts?
Tell us — most sensitivity is gum inflammation that resolves with treatment, but we can also numb specific quadrants for deep cleanings. There's no medal for toughing it out.
